Our Resident Leftbrain
Jason is owner and lead brand strategist for Mlicki. Dubbed the agency's CLB (Chief Left Brain), his primary forte is helping companies develop the thinking behind their brands. His work involves helping companies position around customer motivations and buying behaviors. He is an expert in brand architecture, service branding and internal branding. Jason has led brand strategy initiatives for a variety of service organizations including Alliance Data, Ashland, Avizent, Charley's, Denison University, River Consulting and Sequent.
Jason is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Advertising Federation of Columbus and is a member of the Advisory Board at the Initiative for Managing Services at The Ohio State University. He's an active member of the Columbus AMA, the Conway Family Business Center, the Association of Professional Design Firms and the Fisher College of Business. He regularly speaks on a variety of topics including brand building, internal brand development, creating brand alignment and business succession. Jason received his MBA from The Ohio State University and his B.S. from Denison University.

John is the longest tenured employee at Mlicki whose last name is not "Mlicki." Starting as a young graphic designer with long, stringy hair, he has matured into an award-winning Creative Director with versatility unparalleled in the design community. Whether it's print, environmental signage, illustration, corporate brochures, packaging, identity systems/logos, interactive design, or "Lost" trivia you're after, John does it, and he does it well.
Aside from conceptual and design duties, John is an integral part of the entire creative process--leading the entire creative team at Mlicki. His work helps to differentiate companies through a unique visual language and differentiating design. Design work for Alliance Data, Ashland, Valvoline, Glimcher, Nestle, Sequent and the recently updated Mlicki brand, make up an impressive portfolio.
Gourmand Extraordinaire
Jon is the senior client contact and day-to-day manager of operations at Mlicki. As the newest member of the Mlicki leadership team, he brings a wealth of consumer marketing experience both client and agency-side in multiple industries including restaurant, retail, airlines, telecommunications, insurance and financial services. He has led market research, brand positioning, marketing planning, retail design or broadcast advertising programs for a wide range of national and international brands such as..Applebee's, Mellon Bank, Huntington Bank, Sprint, USAirways, T. Marzetti's, SafeAuto Insurance Cellular One, and White Castle.
Jon sits on the Advisory Board of the Initiative for Managing Services at The Ohio State University and is a past member of the Technomic Advisory Board. He received his MBA from Carnegie Mellon and his M.S. in Marketing from Penn State, but his heart remains with the University of Pittsburgh where he received his B.S.
